How does one measure a life? |
| by
Dr. Mae Sakharov |
 |
How do we record
the comings and goings as the pages turn faster and faster?
Moments stand out, feeding the senses. Perhaps it is as simple as
walking past a certain restaurant on a winter's day as the smell of
freshly baked bread wafts through the air. |

Tammi Graciano |
 |
With
so many adorable puppies waiting to be adopted, the thought of bringing

About my Cats |
| by
Noelle Hedges (Age 11) |
| Pit
I live with my two unique cats Snowdrop and Becky. My mother and I
adopted Snowdrop from the Bucks County SPCA, and we adopted Becky
from my piano teacher that moved back to England. Its nice to adopt
a cat because its like saving a life. We got a cat because my mom
didn't want a kitten scratching furniture up. |

Diane Hutton, Adoption Matchmaker Extraordinaire |
by
Dr. Mae Sakharov |

that soothing voice. Who was that person that spent many hours on
her computer going through hundreds of adoption applications, making
necessary personal and veterinary checks before scheduling appointments
with prospective adopters? |

Animal Alliance volunteers
are happy to share our summer newsletter with those new to our rescue
and old friends. The newsletter is a collaborative effort, which is totally
put together by volunteers. We begin with two wonderful announcements.
The Animal Welfare Federation of New Jersey selected Ann Trinkle our founder
as “Hero to Animals”. We are also honored that PetSmart Charities
selected Animal Alliance as the recipient of a $10,000 grant earmarked
to help defray the costs of spaying and neutering the animals we rescue.
Grants and individual donations are what keep us going and we are grateful
for all and any support.
Articles this summer
cover a range of topics including photography by
Gail Fisher, who photographs most of the dogs on the Animal Alliance website
and is an intrepid traveler. Dedicated to nurturing the environment as
well as rescuing dogs and cats she takes pictures wherever she goes. Interspersed
with our articles this newsletter is pictures by Gail to inspire the imagination
and readers love of travel in reality or in the heart. Enjoy this issue
of the Animal Alliance Newsletter and your comments and suggestions are
appreciated. |
