"I adopted
Bambi, an 8 year old Chihuahua /Miniature Pinscher) in August of 2005.
She came from Florida where she had lived until her elderly owner
passed away and the family fortunately was kind enough to take her
in and find her a new home. I was the lucky one as Bambi is the sweetest
little dog I have ever had, actually the only little dog I have ever
had." |

"Bambi and I share our home with, Gypsy a 12-year-old Dobie/Rottie
Mix (who was found wandering the streets of Trenton as a 3 month old)
and a 2-year-old cat Angel who appeared on my doorstep on a cold winter
day, one day after my 12-year-old Garfield cat died." |

"I recently
retired my Travel Consulting Business that specialized in travel to
Australia/New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands. With time on
my hands I was looking for a new outlet to direct my thoughts and
skills.
"I’m hoping that I can do that through Animal Alliance.
I have always loved all animals, for many years’ horses being
at the top of the list although I am an advocate for humane treatment
for all of God's creatures.
"There have been many horses, dogs and cats in my life over the
years. One cat in particular stands out. I called him Squeaky.
"He was an older feral cat who moved into my stable. It took
months before I could touch him and the first time I did he jumped
three feet into the air. He was pure black and soft as silk. I was
humbled when he finally trusted me.
" We once rescued a large pony that had been living in a shed
on a tiny lot and was totally neglected. You could count every rib.
It didn’t take long to fill him out and put a shine on his coat
and in his eyes. Those were busy days; things are quieter now. However,
I still feel I can contribute something to the betterment of this
world and its four legged creatures." |
